Reflection 08 · Action & Impact

Keep doing good.

Stay faithful when progress takes time.

The story

In Galatians 6:7-10, Paul uses the picture of sowing and harvesting to describe the direction of our lives. He urges believers to keep doing good, even when they grow weary, and to use opportunities to care for others.

Why it matters

Jesus taught His followers to love their neighbors and do good even to those who could not repay them. Paul’s encouragement carries that teaching into everyday life: keep choosing love and practical care, even when the effort brings no immediate recognition or reward.

Good work can take time to bear fruit. You may keep showing up, helping someone, or doing what is right without seeing an immediate result.

Paul’s encouragement is rooted in life with God. It is not a promise that every personal goal will succeed on our schedule. Faithfulness means continuing to do good while remaining willing to learn, ask for help, rest, or change an approach that is not working.

You do not have to wait for a perfect moment. Look for one way to help someone with the time and ability you have today.

Try this week

  1. Where are slow results making you question whether doing good matters?
  2. What needs steady effort, and what needs a wiser approach?
  3. Who could benefit from one practical action you take this week?
Choose your next faithful step:

I will keep doing good by ______, and ask ______ for support or perspective.
